Al Dhahirah, Oman — The Municipal Council in Al Dhahirah Governorate held its fifth regular session of the year, chaired by H.E. Najeeb bin Ali Al Rawas, Governor of Al Dhahirah and Chairman of the Council.
The session began with the approval of the minutes of the previous meeting and a review of incoming responses and recommendations. The council was presented with a visual briefing from the Environment Department in the governorate on initiatives aimed at preserving wild plants, expanding green areas, and combating desertification.
The Roads Department also gave a visual presentation on the key ongoing projects in the governorate.
The session addressed several key topics, most notably the issue of untreated wastewater discharge into natural environments, wadis, and aflaj routes. The session concluded with a discussion on the recommendations raised in the meeting minutes of the Governorate Development and Enhancement Committee and the Health and Environmental Affairs Committee.
