The Al Dhahirah Governorate, in collaboration with the Electronic Defense Center, organized a seminar on 'Cybersecurity and the Digital Space,' under the patronage of His Excellency Najib bin Ali bin Ahmed Al Ruwais, Governor of Al Dhahirah, and in the presence of honorable governors, as well as officials and employees of government departments in the governorate
The seminar covered an introduction to the tasks and responsibilities of the Electronic Defense Center, as well as the main activities and legislations it has developed. It also addressed current and future challenges of the electronic security system. Discussions included the risks associated with smart devices, targeting the electronic space, and recommended security precautions. Statistical data on monitoring and alerting across various networks of government sectors in the Sultanate of Oman were presented.
The seminar concluded with a general discussion session where questions and inquiries related to the electronic security system were raised, linking it to the responsibilities of governmental departments.
